Answering the Call:
We recently moved to Florida from Pennsylvania, where I served as a parish Director of Faith Formation at a parish near Philadelphia. For a short time, we were actually homeless, because we had no idea where The Lord was going to lead us. So, I was crashing on my brother’s couch in Florida while Christine and the children stayed with her parents in Pennsylvania. It was a beautiful mess! But God has provided an abundant life for us, and we are enjoying His rich blessings every day now.
I answered the call to become a New Evangelist journalist because I want to share stories about the wonderful people I have met (and will meet) who are on fire for Christ and His Church. The Bible tells us about the ordinary men and women who did extraordinary things through His grace and love. But He never stopped working! He continues to call people of faith to make disciples. I hope that my stories will inspire everyone to share Christ’s love and be light for the world.
“Go home to your family and announce to them all the Lord in his pity has done for you” (Mark 5:19). I think this “Little Commission” is the heart of the New Evangelization!
Many pounds ago… years…I mean years ago, I served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. I believe I had the best job: Combat Photographer!
